BREAKING NEWS: President John Magufuli orders Industries Minister Charles Mwijage on Sunday to repossess industries whose owners failed to develop.

Republic of Tanzania Hon. Dr. John Magufuli has expressed his refusal
with the steps proposed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment
against the factories and then dismissed them and asked Minister of the
Ministry of Health. Charles Mwijage strikes them and gives them potential
investors.
Hon. President Magufuli has issued the
order shortly before opening a Kilimanjaro cement factory in Maweni, Tanga,
where he has continued his 5-day visit to Tanga District.
Hon. President Magufuli said the whole
country has 197 renovated industries after being privatized almost 20 years
ago, including the factories in the Tanga Region but are surprised to see the
Ministry of Industry, Business and Investment do not rob them despite
giving directions to do so several times.
Hon. President Magufuli has also ordered
all regional leaders in the country to undertake an assessment of all the
privatized industries in their areas in order to find out which is unacceptable
and to find other potential investors.
Kilimanjaro Cement Factory is capable of
producing 300 tons of cement per day and intends to increase production up to 3,000
tons a day in the next year.
After opening the cement factory of Kilimanjaro
HON. President Magufuli has set up the foundation for expansion of the
Tanga Lakes (Tanga) lakes which expects to increase milk production from 50,000
liters a day to 120,000 liters measures expected to increase the number of
pastoral farmers from 6,000 to 12,000.
The factory is owned by 24 co-operative
cooperatives by 42 percent and a Dutch investor by 58% and expansion will
increase investment from Tshs 12 billion to Tshs. 26.5 billion.
Being manufactured in Hon. President
Magufuli has ordered the Ministry of Land, Housing and Housing Development to
supply the factory's ownership to the factory management, and has ordered the
Tanzanian Revenue Authority (TRA) to claim capital tax return to direct the
claims to the original owner of the factory who sold them Farmers.
Hon. President Magufuli has ordered the
Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment. Charles Mwijage took action
against the Arusha Milk Factory that after privatization has been transformed
into a collection of milk and exported for export. He also instructed Minister Mwijage that any
country that would prevent Tanzania's milk should not be allowed to import its
milk in the country. In addition, Hon. President Magufuli has
given 5 days to Minister for Agriculture, Beekeeping and Lazy Dr. Charles
Tizeba came to the factory there and addressed the challenge facing the
factory.
Hon. President Magufuli has opened the
first installment of the GBP Fuel Power Project project located in the Tanga
Raskazone area with a capacity of 122.6 million liters and expected to extend
to 300 million liters by the middle of next year. Hon. Dr. Greetings awarded CEO of GBP
Mrs. Badar Sood for the same 60 billion shillings investment that will
include the construction of a factory and a gas processing plant and assured
him that the Government will continue to support it at any time. Also Hon. President Magufuli congratulates
Mr. Sood for paying taxes in the past two years has increased tax payments
from Tshs. 208.950 Tshs to Tshs. 293.263 and has assured all taxpayers who are
taxable as well as the Government will protect them.
Hon. President Magufuli has expressed his
refusal and reassuring of the Flow Meter Oil Testing Process and has urged the
Ministries involved in the process to buy these meters fast so that the oil
flows into the country can properly absorb and collect taxes. Tomorrow, President Magufuli will conduct his
visit to Tanga District by communicating with the Korogwe and Handeni District
Ministers.
